02b — QUALITY & COMPLIANCE
Environmental governance and quality you can document
Upper Quarry operates within Ghana's environmental and minerals framework. Our compliance posture and quality-control practice are built for institutional scrutiny — 40 years of government supply is the foundation.
01 — ENVIRONMENTAL GOVERNANCE
How does Upper Quarry manage environmental impact?
Our approach centres on governance and routine practice. An environmental committee oversees site impact, dust management around crushing and haulage, and water management. Structured reporting is maintained, and we hold the relevant approvals under Ghana's environmental and minerals framework.
Detailed, client-confirmable environmental documentation is provided as part of formal procurement processes. If your project or tender requires environmental clearance documentation, contact us to initiate that process.
Environmental committee
Formal oversight of site environmental impact, reviewing operational practice and incident response.
Dust & water management
Controls around crushing, screening and haulage operations to limit dust and water runoff impact.
Regulatory approvals
Operations run under applicable permits and approvals within Ghana's minerals and environmental framework.
Structured reporting
Periodic reporting keeps records current and available for tender and procurement due diligence.
02 — QUALITY CONTROL
How do you control aggregate quality and consistency?
Controlled crushing
Material passes through jaw and cone crushers calibrated to produce consistent particle sizes within each grade specification.
Screening & grading
Crushed material is screened to grade through vibrating screens, separating the seven product grades cleanly from quarry dust to 25mm.
Grade consistency
The same Birimian granite source and controlled crushing process mean buyers receive consistent particle shape and size across loads.
Grading documentation
Confirmable grading data can be provided with a formal quote for buyers who need to demonstrate material specification in tender returns.
Source rock quality
Birimian muscovite-biotite granite is characteristically hard with low water absorption — the underlying rock quality supports consistent aggregate performance.
Load verification
Weights and grades are verified at dispatch; documentation is available for buyers requiring proof-of-supply on contracts.
03 — SAFETY
How is quarry safety managed?
Quarrying involves blasting, heavy plant and haulage — each carrying inherent risk that must be actively managed. At Pwalugu, safety practice is applied across blast control, plant maintenance, operator training and site access. Operations comply with applicable mining safety regulations in Ghana.
For buyers, a well-run, safety-compliant supplier means consistent supply without the stoppages that come from incidents, regulatory enforcement or permit issues. Our 40-year continuous operation record is evidence of that consistency.
