03c — ORNAMENTAL STONE
Silver, copper and black granite — cladding, paving, countertops
Characterful Birimian granite flecked with pink feldspar from our Pwalugu quarry. Cut and finished for architectural cladding, premium paving, feature walls and countertop work.
01 — PRODUCT OVERVIEW
What is Pwalugu ornamental granite?
The Pwalugu deposit's ornamental stone is the same Birimian muscovite-biotite granite — but selected for the quality, appearance and consistency of its natural face and cut. The rock's characteristic colouring — a silver and grey ground with copper-toned and black mineral grains, warm with pink feldspar flecks — produces a material with natural character for premium applications.
We supply cut panels for external and internal cladding, sawn slabs for paving and countertops, and split stone for feature walls. The stone's hardness and low water absorption make it suitable for exterior use across Ghana's climate without surface sealing in most applications.
02 — APPLICATIONS
Where is ornamental granite used?

Cut panels for facade cladding on commercial, institutional and residential buildings — durable and low-maintenance in Ghana's climate.

Wall and column cladding for reception areas, lobbies and public-facing interiors where appearance matters.
Paving & flooring
Sawn granite slabs and setts for high-traffic flooring, external terraces and civic paving.
Countertops & worktops
Polished or honed granite slabs for kitchen countertops, reception desks and laboratory bench surfaces.
Feature walls
Split and rough-faced stone for feature walls, landscaping accents and garden walls where texture is part of the design.
Memorials & monuments
Dense, workable granite for memorial slabs, inscribed panels and landscape features.
03 — FINISH OPTIONS
What finishes are available on ornamental granite?
The character of the Pwalugu granite shows differently depending on how the surface is prepared. Confirm available finishes on enquiry — not all finishes are available for all thicknesses or order sizes.
Sawn
Smooth, matt sawn face — the standard for countertops, flooring and cladding. Shows grain clearly.
Honed
Flat, low-gloss finish with a slight sheen. Popular for interior flooring and countertops.
Polished
High gloss, reflective finish that draws out the granite's copper and black mineral colour. Confirm availability.
Split face
Natural rough texture from splitting along the rock's natural planes — for feature walls and exterior character work.
