03a — GRANITE AGGREGATE & CHIPPINGS

Graded granite — 6mm to crusher-run

Seven grades of crushed Birimian granite from our Pwalugu quarry, sized for structural concrete, road base, surface dressing, blockmaking and screeding. Delivered across northern Ghana.

01 — PRODUCT OVERVIEW

What is granite aggregate good for?

Granite aggregate is the primary structural aggregate for concrete and road construction in Ghana. The Pwalugu deposit is a Birimian muscovite-biotite granite — hard, low water absorption, and with the angular particle shape that gives concrete strength and makes asphalt surfaces durable under traffic.

Available in seven grades from 6mm fine chippings to 25mm coarse aggregate and crusher-run (0–37.5mm), plus quarry dust for blockmaking. Because we quarry and crush at Pwalugu, delivered cost to northern Ghana roads and construction sites is structurally lower than material hauled from southern sources.

Granite aggregate — frequently asked questions

What grades of chippings do you supply?
We supply 6mm, 10mm, 14mm, 19/20mm and 25mm granite chippings and aggregate, plus quarry dust and crusher-run (0–37.5mm).
What is the difference between chippings and quarry dust?
Chippings are graded coarse aggregate for concrete and asphalt; quarry dust is the fine fraction used for blockmaking, screeds and fill.
Which grade should I use for structural concrete?
For most reinforced concrete, 14mm to 19/20mm chippings are typical. 25mm suits mass concrete; 6mm and 10mm suit fine concrete and surface dressing.
What does granite aggregate cost?
Indicative ex-quarry rates start around GHS 120 per tonne (quarry dust) up to about GHS 210 per tonne (6mm chippings), before haulage. All rates are indicative — confirm by quote.
Do you deliver aggregate?
Yes — across northern Ghana, with haulage priced by distance from Pwalugu. Use the estimator to see an indicative delivered total to your town.
Is there a minimum order?
The estimator uses a one-tonne minimum for illustration; in practice delivery is usually by full truckloads. Confirm order sizes by quote.
