Marble-grade stone — premium flooring, cladding and export
Pwalugu marble-grade stone from the same Birimian geological formation as our granite. Suited to premium interior flooring, wall cladding and slab work, with West African export potential for high-value markets.
01 — PRODUCT OVERVIEW
What is Pwalugu marble-grade stone?
The Pwalugu deposit hosts a marble-grade material within the broader Birimian geological formation — a stone with the surface character and workability that makes it suited to premium flooring, cladding and slab applications. It is a higher-value product from the same quarry that produces our structural aggregate.
The material can be sawn to slab thickness for flooring, polished or honed for interiors, and cut to panel sizes for wall cladding. West African export potential exists for markets seeking premium natural stone at a cost competitive with imported alternatives.
Pricing is indicative and depends on slab thickness, surface finish, volume and destination. Please contact us or submit a quote request with your specification for a formal price.

03 — EXPORT POTENTIAL
Is Pwalugu marble suitable for export?
The material has characteristics that make it commercially interesting for the West African premium natural stone market, where significant volumes of marble and granite are currently imported — often at high cost and long lead time.
Upper Quarry is open to discussing export supply arrangements with stone processors and distributors seeking a local West African source of marble-grade stone. Volume, processing and specification discussions are welcomed on formal enquiry.
