INSIGHTS
Haulage is often the largest variable in delivered aggregate cost. Understand lead times, load sizes and how distance from Pwalugu shapes your quote.
For most buyers in the north, the delivered price of aggregate is driven as much by haulage as by the stone itself. Planning deliveries well — by distance, load size and timing — keeps cost and programme under control.
Delivered price has two parts: the ex-quarry rate for the material, and haulage to your site. On our estimator these are shown as separate line items so you can see exactly what distance is costing you. Both figures are indicative until confirmed by a formal quote.
Lead time grows with distance and load size. As a rough guide from Pwalugu, delivery within the Upper East is typically one to two days, the Northern Region around two to three days, and further corridors a little longer. Large or scheduled orders are planned in advance against your programme.
